Final Post - Effective Team Communication

Yeap, this is, as you can see from the top there, the last and final post.
After experiencing a semester full of ups and downs, at this moment now, I’m feeling kind of emotional.

To summarize my 2nd semester...(ps: Can you find Wally?)

No, I’m not feeling sad. On the contrary, I’m feeling motivated, and everyone should be too, as this is just the beginning of our journey. Instead of feeling sad over what we left behind, bring it with you into the future and look forward to it.

Post#5 - Reflection on oral presentation 2

    blog.movieset.com
In my previous feeble attempt of an oral presentation, I would look too goofy at times. At other instances, I would look sinister.

It’s like I’m an evil merchant trying to sell off his bag of useless wares.

I have also received feedback from our dear tutor Mr. James that I tend to use colloquial language at the end of the presentation.
This time round, I tried to fix most of the flaws I had in my previous presentation. Though I may still look goofy in a formal shirt and tie, but my face remained serious.

Meeting 1 of group C02B

There are some things that one can only see, while looking at a video. During the meeting itself, everyone agreed that the meeting was effective and productive.
However, after reviewing the meeting in video, I realized that there are many parts of the meeting that can be further improved. Perhaps the motivation for making a video of our first meeting isn’t just for Mr James to review on it.
Maybe it was done so that we can look at our meeting from a third-person perspective, and from that, we notice things we weren’t able to as participants of the meeting.

Post #3 - Interpersonal conflict scenario

Ah Lim, Ah Quah, and Alamak are 3 very close friends who knew each other since they were young. Being very close friends, they co-owned a Pokémon farm. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pokemon)

Go! Pokémon!

Ever since the farm was built, they had worked hard together to bring the farm to what it was today.

Ah Quah is sort of the leader of the trio; he displays good leadership skills, is very good at what he is doing, but is a bit too direct with his words. Alamak on the other hand, although he is a hard worker, he tends to make minor mistakes from time to time. Ah Quah has the tendency to criticize Alamak for every mistake he makes, but Alamak regards the criticism as ‘positive feedback’. Ah Lim is sort of the character created for mediating purposes.

Post #2 - Principles of intercultural/interpersonal communication

There is this very engaging presenter, and the topic he is discussing is a very interesting topic. We would have imagined that whatever he was trying to present, is going to be well understood by the listeners. But what if the listener wasn’t paying any attention?? (He/she was busy drawing squiggles on his/her notes) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squiggle)

 I'm Not Listening!

What I just talked about was a recap of last week. In my opinion, it is directly relevant to what we are supposed to discuss this week.
